SEVEN ISLANDS CRUISE on the HAWKESBURY RIVER
Monday 3rd February, 2020.

Morning tea is served after boarding the cruise boat at Brooklyn.   Today we learn the history of the Islands of the Hawkesbury - Lion Island, Dangar Island, Spectacle Island, Long Island, Peat Island, Milson Island and Bar Island.     We cruise past the water-access-only settlements of the Lower Hawkesbury while enjoying a great fish’n’chips lunch.        To complete a very pleasant day we have afternoon tea at Parsley Bay.     
Cost:    $75.00 per person all inclusive.
 

BARRAMUNDI FARM AND COOKABARRA RESTAURANT
Tuesday 4th February, 2020

Complimentary morning tea.   Located at Bobs Farm, near Port Stephens, the widely acclaimed Tailor Made Fish Farms facility sustainably produces barramundi and leafy vegetables.     On arrival at the farm we are given a talk and guided tour  where you will see the fish as they move through their lifecycle from fingerlings through to the market ready product.    You can feed Big Barry who is over twenty two kilograms and one metre long but watch your fingers! We then enjoy a delicious lunch of fish (chicken is available if required) and chips in the Cookabarra Restaurant.

YARRAMALONG,  MANGROVE DAM, WOLLOMBI, KURRI KURRI AND WYEE NURSERY
Friday 7th February, 2020.

After travelling through the picturesque valley of Yarramalong we make our way up Bumble Hill to Kulnura  and along to Mangrove Dam where we enjoy morning tea before continuing our journey through Wollombi to Kurri Kurri.     After admiring some of the murals in Kurri Kurri we drive to East Maitland Bowling Club and Billabongs Family Restaurant to indulge in their buffet lunch.   We stop at Wyee Nursery to complete the day.

BAYS TO BREAKERS
Tuesday 11th February, 2020.

Complimentary morning tea.    Today with tour guide Di on board the coach we see the glamorous waterfront restaurants and residences of Woolloomooloo and the vibrant suburbs of Potts Point and Kings Cross.   See stunning views of Sydney Harbour from Vaucluse and Watsons Bay before moving on to South Head and the Macquarie Lighthouse.     Visit Bondi and hear the story of the ‘once privately owned Bondi Beach’ now a world renowned tourist destination, then travel to trendy Tamarama and Bronte Beaches.   As we drive along the esplanade of  Coogee Beach hear tales of the days when Coogee and its Ocean Pier and Aquarium vied  with Manly for the number one day tripper destination.   Enjoy a two course lunch at South Sydney Juniors before continuing on to see the seaside suburb of million dollar mansions now known as Prince Henry at The Bay and from the headland of La Perouse watch the Botany Bay breakers.

MISS PORTERS HOUSE
Thursday 13th February, 2020.

Complimentary morning tea at Blackbutt Reserve.  Today we visit the freestanding Edwardian terrace house where Miss Hazel Porter lived for her eighty three years. The property was built by her father, Herbert Porter, in 1909 and has seen little change over the years.    Not wishing the home to be redeveloped she bequeathed the property to the National Trust together with one hundred years of collectables, 1909-1940 furnishings, and a collection of fabrics, clothing and craft materials.   Lunch at Wests City Club - own expense.   Travel home via Newcastle Beaches.
Cost:    $40.00 per person includes coach travel and entry fees.
 

PORT WARATAH COAL FACILITY TOUR and NEWCASTLE MUSEUM
Tuesday 18th February, 2020.

Complimentary morning tea.   For over two hundred years Newcastle has shared a rich history of coal being loaded for export in the Port of Newcastle.   Today we are given a guided tour in the coach of the Kooragang Coal Terminal where you will hear of the history and the innovations, see the stockpiles and have your questions answered.   Port Waratah Coal Services is a local business providing services to the local coal industry and contributing $750,000 each year locally as well as supporting local jobs and suppliers.  Lunch at Wests City Club – own expense.    After lunch we take a guided tour of Newcastle Museum where you will see the BHP Experience and there are also two photographic exhibitions on display.

NEPEAN BELLE PADDLEWHEELER CRUISE 
Thursday 20th February, 2020

Enjoy complimentary morning tea in the Cumberland State Forest with time to wander the beautiful nursery located here.  We continue to Penrith where we are welcomed on board the Olde Worlde Nepean Belle Paddlewheeler for a relaxing cruise as it meanders through the spectacular Nepean Gorge situated at the base of the heritage listed Blue Mountains National Park.   The scenery is unique and the two course lunch, which is served to the tables by friendly staff, is delicious.

SOUTHERN HIGHLANDS QUILT AND CRAFT SHOW
Saturday 22nd February,  2020.

Complimentary morning tea.   This weekend is the Southern Highlands Quilters’ Guild Inc. Biennial Quilt and Craft Show being held at The Mittagong RSL Club.  There will be a large display of quilts and wall hangings, textile art display as well as the  pin cushion challenge and mini quilt challenge.  There will be members’ handmade craft for sale and a number of traders’ tables for that special purchase as well as a quilt raffle and lucky door prize.  Special quilters’ lunch and refreshments are available at the RSL Club.  Entry ($6.00 per person) and lunch own expense.     
Cost:    $35.00 per person coach travel only.
 

HIGH TEA AT THE GARDENS ON FOREST PEAKHURST –
Sunday 23rd February, 2020.

Complimentary morning tea.     Relax and indulge in a traditional high tea at the stunning Gardens on Forest  – a beautifully restored and renovated 1885 heritage estate showcasing elegant chandeliers and formal surrounding gardens.    Our high tea experience will include a selection of savoury finger sandwiches, assorted savoury quiche, fresh scones served with jam and cream, tempting assortment of sweet tartlets, specialty teas, freshly brewed coffee and a glass of premium sparkling wine on arrival.
